Infection Preventionist

Eric Wilson, DrPH, CIC joined Tampa General Hospital in 2019 as an Infection Preventionist. He received his Doctorate in Public Health (epidemiology) in 2021 from the University of Kentucky. Eric also has over 12 years of combined work experience in microbiology educational and research labs. His professional background also includes teaching microbiology and epidemiology to nursing and public health students. His research interests include prevention of multidrug-resistant organisms and bacteriological water quality. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Amber, and their four children Elise, Mercy, Felicity, and Joel.
