My name is Marissa Durst BSN, RN CIC and I am a Senior Infection Preventionist at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA. My professional career began in 2007 when I graduated from Mercy School of Nursing. I have spent my 17 year career at UPMC Mercy, beginning on a surgical/oncology unit which is where I spent 13 of my professional years before transferring to the Infection Prevention Department in 2020. I obtained by BSN from Western Governor's University in 2019 and am currently working on my MSN.
