Dr. McGuire-Wolfe is an assistant professor at the University of South Florida, College of Public Health and director of the Infection Control for Emergency Responders Collaborative and Training Hub (ICER). She teaches within Infection Control programs in the Global and Planetary Strategic Area and serves as director of the Undergraduate Infection Control Minor. In 2020, Dr. McGuire-Wolfe retired from the fire service after 18 years. During her tenure with the department, she served as firefighter/paramedic and Infection Control Officer. Dr. McGuire-Wolfe’s program development and research interest include infection prevention and control curriculum development; infection control training in EMS, fire rescue, and law enforcement; exposure management; pandemic response and planning; and occupational health issues for emergency responders.
