Judy Chun, CLS, MLS(ASCP), CIC started her career in Infection Prevention in 2023. Her background as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in Microbiology has aided her tremendously while navigating her new role as a novice IP. She has been able to apply her knowledge of microbiology as well as working in the clinical laboratory setting to collaborate and bridge the gap between frontline staff, IP, and clinical lab procedures. Within her first year working as an IP, she was able to aid her team and facility in significantly reducing C. diff HAIs.
Judy further demonstrated her dedication and motivation for the advancement of her career as an Infection Preventionist by earning her CIC certification in 2024. Judy remains an active member of her local chapter in the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
