Dana Nguyen BSN, RN, CIC is the Director of Infectious Disease and the Program Manager for Infection Prevention at Clark County Public Health in Vancouver, Washington. Dana possesses over 35 years of nursing experience with 23 of those years in challenging leadership positions. During the course of her career she has demonstrated success leading in a variety of healthcare settings; critical care, integrated ambulatory care clinics and public health. Dana received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Washington State University and has been certified in Infection Prevention and Control since 2017.
In her role at Clark County she led the COVID-19 pandemic response and has implemented a new Infection Prevention program that provides comprehensive outbreak response for the community and serves as a vital infection prevention resource to the community and Southwest Washington. Dana has successfully championed innovative and effective educational programs for various levels of staff and has a special interest in developing sustainable training and staffing resources to ensure a robust response to emerging infectious diseases and outbreaks.
