Disha Sampat Gandara is currently a Network Infection Prevention Manager with PeaceHealth. She has a Master's in Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center - Houston. Disha has 10 years of experience in the field of Infection Prevention. She began working as an Infection Preventionist in 2014 at a Level 1 Trauma Hospital in Houston where she provided IP support for the Medicine and Abdominal Transplant service lines. In 2017, she joined PeaceHealth as an Infection Preventionist for a Level II Trauma hospital in SW Washington.
Her key accomplishments include implementing a duodenoscope surveillance program in inpatient and outpatient endoscopy, training healthcare workers in Ebola Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and outbreak management of Measles and COVID-19. Disha took on a leadership role within PeaceHealth in 2018 and remains the Network Infection Prevention Manager for two acute care facilities in SW Washington.
