Bryan Connors, MS, CIH, HEM, directs Environmental Health & Engineering’s healthcare practice. Bryan provides hospitals with expert guidance in the areas of physical environment infection control, environmental health and safety, Environment of Care / Life Safety program management, in addition to regulatory compliance with Joint Commission EC and LS (and Det Norske Veritas [DNV] comparable standards), U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements.
Bryan has led numerous environmental infection outbreak investigations at hospitals throughout the U.S., related to SARS-CoV-2, fungal infections, bacterial infections as well as Legionella / waterborne pathogens and other opportunistic microorganisms associated with the hospital physical environment. Bryan’s extensive knowledge of hospital operations, their dynamic environment and its impact on patient safety is key to his success in working closely with facilities and infection prevention groups to get to the root of infections and establish prevention programs.
