Keith H. St. John, MS, CIC, FAPIC is currently an Independent Infection Preventionist Consultant for ECRI/ISMP. Keith received his B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Delaware and his M.S. in Clinical Microbiology from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. He received additional training in Infection Prevention and Control at the CDC in Atlanta and Medical College of Virginia with C. Glen Mayhall, MD. Keith has been an Infection Preventionist for the past 30+ years. Keith is certified in Infection Control (CIC) and is a past President of CBIC. Keith is also a Fellow of APIC. Keith was a prior member of the United States Pharmacopeia Convention Expert Compounding Committee and was co-author of the of the USP Chapter <797> and the USP Chapter <800> Keith has served in various leadership roles with APIC and AJIC. In 2021, Keith received the Surgical Infection Society President's medal for Exemplary Service.
