Candice Fearon MSGH, BSN, RN, CIC, has worked in healthcare for fourteen years, with six as an Infection Preventionist. Her healthcare career began at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) with experience as a patient care associate, inpatient medical/surgical float pool nurse, and outpatient cutaneous clinic nurse. Candice completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University in 2014 and her Master’s Degree in Global Health in 2017 from Northwestern University.
In 2017, she joined the OSUWMC’s Clinical Epidemiology Department to pursue her interests in infection prevention and control. Successively, Candice joined her local APIC chapter, earned her Certification in Infection Control, and was promoted to supervisor for Clinical Epidemiology. In this leadership role, Candice facilitates, develops and updates organizational policies and procedures. She mentors and leads a team who provide guidance to various department leaders on risk mitigation and process improvements strategies for excellent patient care.
