Ashlee Weekley is a CIC Infection Preventionist with 7 years of acute care hospital experience and public health outreach. She attended the University of Arizona receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. Ashlee started her carreer as a Clinical Microbiologist in Tucson, Arizona and currently maintains certification as a Technologist in Microbiology (ASCP). Following a move to Houston in 2017, Ashlee entered a new role as an Infection Preventionist and currently works within the Houston Methodist Hospital System. Ashlee has served as APIC Houston Chapter Treasurer since 2022 and maintained a role as an Infection Prevention Specialist to FortBend County Health Department throughout the COVID pandemic. In her spare time Ashlee enjoys traveling with her husband Kevin, and spending time with their two dogs: Bella, a husky, and Shay a lab mix. Ashlee’s hobbies include reading, cross-stitching, and cozy weather baking.
