Lydia Grimes- Jenkins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Greenville College in 2006, then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at St. John's College of Nursing in 2007. In 2012 she earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Benedictine University. During her time in infection prevention Lydia has become a resource around IP principles and practices for both inpatient and outpatient settings with a large focus on reprocessing education and compliance. Lydia serves as the Manager of Infection Prevention for both inpatient and outpatient programs, her current areas of focus are high-level disinfection and sterilization, reprocessing in ambulatory care settings, infection prevention department operations and growth and development of IP teams. Lydia is Board Certified in Infection Prevention and Control, is a fellow of APIC, and is a member of her local APIC chapter.
