Assistant Professor
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
Canyon, Texas
I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where I teach clinical research methods, epidemiology, and biostatistics to medical trainees and faculty. I have many years of experience in infection prevention having worked as a certified IP and Director of IP prior to my appointment at TTUHSC. I am passionate about the prevention of healthcare-associated infections and have numerous publications and conference presentations from my work. I specialize in and advocate for the use mixed methods in clinical research. My research agenda focuses on the intersection of policy, healthcare epidemiology, and implementation science. I am especially passionate about expanding evidence for decision-making in the environment of care. At the heart of each of these pillars is human behavior that requires an understanding of behavioral theory. I embrace the challenge of enhancing the effectiveness of infection prevention through novel and innovative research.
