Elizabeth Reed, MPH, BSN, RN, CIC, is an Infection Preventionist at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in Houston, Texas. She has practiced Infection Prevention in acute care hospitals, post-acute rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facilities. Elizabeth has been co-chair and member of her hospital system’s Infection Prevention Policy and Procedure, Construction, and High-Level Disinfection Workgroups. Elizabeth holds a BS in Microbiology from Texas A&M University, a BS in Nursing with Honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Nursing, and a Master's in Public Health Epidemiology from Texas A&M University. She was inducted into both Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health. Additionally, Elizabeth has clinical laboratory experience and clinical nursing experience in critical care and the cardiac catheterization laboratory. She has had opportunities to present her work at multiple national and regional conferences and events.
