Gail Weeks, DNP, RN, BS, CIC, is an ambulatory infection preventionist at PeaceHealth, a 10-hospital system based in the Pacific Northwest. She has worked at PeaceHealth for 23 years first as an oncology nurse navigator and now as an infection preventionist. Gail joined the infection prevention team in 2017 concentrating on ambuatory and inpatient departments. She joined the ambulatory infection prevention team and partners with 60 clinics located in two cities to address infection prevention needs. Partnership development and education has been a cornerstone of her work with ambulatory clinics. Her DNP project analyzed hand hygiene and environmental cleaning in ambulatory clinics and the project learnings highlighted the importance of staff partnership and engagement to attain needed outcomes. Gail received her RN degree from Clark College in Vancouver. Her MSN with an emphasis in education and DNP degrees were both completed at Washington State University - Vancouver.
