Olivia McGovern, PhD, MS is an Epidemiologist in the Internaional Infection Control Branch at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She has training in both microbiolgy and epidemiology, and completed the Epidemic Intelligence Service fellowship in 2020. Since then she has served as the lead for the Global Action in Healthcare Antimicrobial Resistance Module (GAIHN-AR), a global network for prevention, detection, and response to critical antimicrobial resistance in healthcare settings. Her work focuses on quality improvment of detection and infection prevention and control of antimicrobial resistance in varied resource settings.
