Chris started his career 1991. He's currently the Lead IP for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Continental Network. Prior to this, he was the IPC lead for the DHA Small Market and Stand Alone Medical Treatment Facility Organization, covering a total of 140 facilities. He served as Consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General from 2015 – 2021 and taught IPC essentials to over 700 medical professionals. He was the program director for the Army IPC Deployment Course. His career spans across three level-1 trauma centers and a community hospital in San Antonio. He performed compliance visits for 44 military facilities. and has environment of care experience. Chris is the lead IP content writer and educator for the Defense Institute for Medical Operations and provided IPC mentorship on three continents. He was a Section Editor for the APIC Text 4th Edition. He retired from the Air Force after 30 years.
