Frank Myers has over 35 years’ experience in infection prevention. He has also held the San Diego and Imperial County chapter’s presidency, California APIC Coordinating Council (CACC) presidency, and sits on APIC’s practice guidelines committee and has been APIC’s liaison to AAMI. He has been awarded "ICT Educator of the year 2009" and is also a SHEA member. He has lectured on three continents on infection prevention topics and has over 45 publications on the subject of infection prevention including an award for one of them. Myers is a faculty member of APIC’s Ambulatory Care Course and has been on the faculty of CACC’s Foundations course for many years and was the primary developer of its content. Even topics he has developed in jest have been utilized in CDC NHSN trainings.
