Angelina James, MSN, RN, CCRN is an Infection Preventionist for UofL Health at Jewish and Heart Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Angelina obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from McNeese State University, where she also competed as a student-athlete for the Track and Cross-Country team. Angelina's passion for Infection Prevention began during her master's degree externship in the infection prevention department during the beginning of the 2020 COVID pandemic. Angelina finds multi-drug resistant organisms fascinating and enjoys researching outbreak investigations and transmission-based precautions. When not in the healthcare realm, she enjoys running and training for 5Ks and half-marathons, with the 2024 Chicago Marathon as her next challenge. Angelina cherishes her family time with her husband, Oliver, and their identical twin boys, Henry and Isaac, who bring immense joy and love to her life.
