Kayla Sceeles, MPH, CIC is an Infection Preventionist from Children’s Medical Center Dallas with 3 years of experience in the field. Kayla received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Master of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to Children’s Health, Kayla worked at Tarrant County Public Health and in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital adding to her experience. Currently, Kayla works on cardiac surgical site infection, healthcare acquired respiratory viral infection, and pediatric ventilator associated event surveillance, among other infection prevention related activities. Her passion is to influence other healthcare workers to take ownership of infection prevention practices.
