Matt McHugh MT(ASCP), MPH, CIC is the manager of Infection Prevention & Control at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's hospital of Chicago. Matt has a B.S. in medical laboratory science and an MPH epidemiology. He worked in clinical microbiology for 7 years prior to moving to infection prevention and control. He has been part of the Lurie IP&C department for 6.5 years, and has worked in a large cohort of issues within the hospital. Matt is especially engaged with the hospital's information management services, optimizing how IP&C uses electronic systems, informatics, and interfaces to increase surveillance capacity.
