Crystal Heishman MBA, MSN, RN, ONC, CIC, CRNI, CPHQ, FAPIC is the Director of Infection Prevention & Control at UofL Health - Jewish Hospital and Heart Hospital in Louisville, KY. She is also System Director for Vascular Access and Infection Prevention Coordinators specializing in Disinfection/Sterilization and Facilities. Crystal is an active member of APIC and multiple professional organizations. She currently serves as the Immediate Past Chair of the 2023 Annual Conference Committee, a member of the Emerging Infectious Disease Task Force, and assists with social media for her chapter. Crystal is a Fellow of APIC and holds certification in Infection Control, Orthopedic Nursing, Infusion Nursing, and Healthcare Quality. Crystal's interests are diverse and include outbreak investigation and management, technology/robotics, education and conference planning, disinfection/sterilization, bone/joint, and infusion/vascular access.
