Renee has over 10 years of experience guiding healthcare facilities in achieving excellence in infection prevention and quality. With a passion for patient safety and improving health outcomes, Renee aims to transform quality improvement across the continuum of care. During her time as an infection preventionist public health consultant within the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Infection Prevention Resource and Assessment Team, Renee spearheaded large-scale projects assessing infection prevention program systems and operations in various healthcare environments across Michigan. She also serves as a mentor to infection preventionists across Michigan and nationally within the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America’s (SHEA's) mentorship program. She serves as the Nomination Committee Chairperson for the APIC Great Lakes Chapter, is a member of APIC's national Professional Development Committee, and SHEA's Public Policy and Government Affairs Committee. Her areas of interest include patient safety, quality improvement, mentorship, and leadership.
