Deva Rea is the corporate Infection Prevention Education Manager for AdventHealth. She received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Biology at the University of Central Florida, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the same institution, her Master of Public Health in tropical public health/ communicable diseases and Graduate Certificate in Infection Control at the University of South Florida. She is board Certified in Infection Control (CIC). Deva has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, speaking at many conferences including national APIC. And she has served in various capacities within acute care, public health, and the medical device industry— as a Registered Nurse, Infection Preventionist, Epidemiologist, Senior Clinical Science Liaison, and Consultant. Deva has a passion for educating, sharing knowledge, and advancing the practice of infection prevention.
