I became a nurse in 2007, working in an acute care setting with oncology, hospice, and renal patients. In 2015 I ventured into the world IP by accepting a position as Director of Education, Infection Prevention and Employee Health in a Critical Access facility. Since then, I have worked in Infection Prevention in various hospitals and capacities, currently doing remote surveillance and data support. I became CIC certified in 2018 and joined APIC in 2023. I have extensive experience in investigating and resolving the unexpected: from sewer pipe explosions to construction barrier mishaps.
