Michael David is a dually certified infection prevention and healthcare quality consultant with a wealth of experience. Holding a Master of Health Administration from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Calvin University, Michael seamlessly blends clinical expertise with administrative acumen.
In his current role as a Nurse Consultant with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Michael has been pivotal in the creation and ongoing implementation of his organization’s infection prevention initiatives, including two statewide infection reduction programs. He along with his colleague had the opportunity to present at the Society for Health Epidemiology in America’s 2023 conference about their unit’s infection prevention work in Michigan’s more vulnerable areas. His research interests include continuous improvement and advancing health equity.
When he is not working, Michael loves to travel and try new food especially if its spicy!
