Samantha Bastow is the Associate Director of Clinical Integration in Medical Affairs at Becton Dickinson (BD). In this role she is responsible for overseeing and managing both the clinical and administrative aspects of the medical division of business. This includes innovation and new product and business development, lifecycle clinical evidence generation, market shaping and development, and safety and compliance. Prior to joining BD, Samantha served as a Senior Solution Advisor at Lumere/GHX where she supported the development of pharmacy analytics software as the clinical subject matter expert. She also led client support to identify cost savings and care variation opportunities, develop clinical and operational strategies to improve medication use, and streamline formulary management processes for health systems across the US. Prior to Samantha’s tenure at Lumere, she served as the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she led inpatient and emergency clinical pharmacy service lines, in addition to formulary management, clinical decision support, business development, research and academic responsibilities. Samantha holds a PharmD from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a MBA with a specialization in data analytics from the University of Illinois. She completed a PGY1 residency at Sarasota Memorial Hospital followed by an Emergency Medicine Pharmacy residency at Boston Medical Center.
