Leslie has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2004 has been working in veterinary infection prevention for about 16 years. She currently works at the Minnesota Department of Health in the Zoonotic Disease Unit consulting with veterinary clinics, wildlife rehabs, zoos, animal sanctuaries, and shelters on infection control and safety issues. In 2023 Leslie also passed the CIC exam to become board certified in infection prevention and control. Leslie has authored two book chapters on Infection Control and Zoonotic Diseases and has been a co-author for various articles.
