Diana Yacoub, MPA, BSN, RN, CIC, CPHQ proudly serves as the Director of Infection Control at Northwell Long Island Jewish Forest Hills in New York. With a background in pediatric ICU and plastic surgery, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University and a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College. Diana achieved certification in infection prevention and control (CIC) in 2013 and healthcare quality in 2023. As an adjunct professor at Molloy University, she teaches an infection control training course. Diana is a member of APIC Greater New York for 14 years, serving as Secretary (2020-2022), President Elect (2023), and President (2024). Diana is dedicated to advancing member engagement and chapter committee participation. Diana’s contribution to infection prevention research includes a publication in the American Journal of Infection Control and several posters showcasing efforts to decrease hospital acquired infections and improve patient safety.
