As the Infection Prevention Centralized Surveillance Director, the identification and reporting of Banner Health's communicable diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and antimicrobial use and resistance are within Megan's purview. Adhering to CMS, CDC-NHSN, and State requirements, her collaborations with coding compliance/education, IT solution owners/analysts, clinical informatics, and EHR solution architects have automated and streamlined a myriad of data reporting processes, in the movement toward interoperability. By centralizing data collection, analysis, reporting, and communication, there are more opportunities for Banner's facilities to implement evidence and devote prevention efforts at the point of care.
