Ms. Mayoryk began her nursing career at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, working as a surgical nurse in Solid-Organ Transplantation. She joined the Johns Hopkins Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control team in 2001. Ms. Mayoryk has maintained and sustained certification by the Certification Board in Infection Control and Epidemiology. Ms. Mayoryk has led community-hospital Infection Prevention programs in the Baltimore Metro area – most recently serving as the System-level Infection Prevention Director for LifeBridge Health. Ms. Mayoryk is currently the president of Mayoryk Consulting Services, LLC offering Infection Prevention consultation services to healthcare, academic and industry partners. She is currently pursuing graduate studies in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has held leadership positions within APIC both nationally as membership chair and locally as chapter president. She is a past recipient of the APIC new investigator and Blue-Ribbon Abstract awards.
