Session Description: This session will provide examples of how global public health agencies work to create or improve infection prevention and control (IPC) programs within Ministries of Health and health facilities in low and middle income countries during responses to public health emergencies such as as viral hemmorhagic fevers, COVID-19, and mpox. Speakers will describe experiences implementing IPC activities during selected emergency responses and strategies for sustaining IPC program improvements following emergency responses.
