Christine Bingman is an Infection Preventionist with the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority. In this role, she is responsible for education and outreach for Infection Preventionists in healthcare facilities across the commonwealth. Dr. Bingman collaborates with infection preventionists and their leadership to develop strategies for patient safety, healthcare-acquired infection reduction, sterile processing practices, antibiotic stewardship and compliance with regulatory agencies. She has been an Infection Preventionist and APIC member since 2007 and has increased her knowledge and expertise through practice and advanced education. In leadership roles, she has overseen infection prevention activities in acute care, behavioral health, hospital-based clinics, ambulatory surgical sites and long-term care facilities. She is currently serving as the NW PA APIC Chapter President and is involved in educating and supporting infection preventionists across her chapter region. Bingman served as a subject matter expert in the development of the APIC Learning Systems study guides for CIC and LTC-CIP.
