Henrietta Smith is a Nurse Infection Preventionist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion Surveillance Branch where she Leads the Protocol and Training Team. Her team serves individuals who are enrolled in the National Healthcare Safety Network Patient Safety, Outpatient Procedure and Neonatal Components. She is Certified in Infection Control with 30 years in infection prevention and control. Her experience in the healthcare industry includes work in a large teaching hospital, a community hospital, a long-term acute care facility, and corporate/federal public health. She has a BS in Medical Technology from Louisiana State University, a BS in Nursing from Emory University and a MS in Nursing, Advanced Care Management and Leadership from Kennesaw State University. She also has a Certificate for Design Thinking for Strategic Innovation Strategic Innovation Program from Stanford University Center for Professional Development.
