I’m a Masters prepared Registered Nurse with extensive experience in ED, ICU, Acute Care, Case Management, and HIV patient care and education. I’ve been working as an Infection preventionist since 2012. I achieved as a CIC (Certified in Infection Control and Prevention) in 2014. I am an IP2 (Infection Preventionist level 2) recognized in Tampa General Hospital since 2019. I’m active in SSI, CLABSI, and CAUTI reduction to improve patient safety. I have chaired the CAUTI, CSEC, and HYST Taskforces in Tampa General Hospital. I’m dedicated to fulfill my commitment to excellence in patient safety and support and serve our community and region.
I’m active in HIV/AIDS local and National community. I am an AIDS Certified Registered Nurse (ACRN) since 2006. I’ve been the President of the Tampa Bay HIV/AIDS Nurses Association 3 times over the years. Currently, I served as one of the Directors on the Board.
I’m passionate about giving back to the community and to the world. I’ve done HIV/AIDS mentorship with Georgetown University in South Africa in 2008 and 2009. I have travelled to Kenya, Haiti, and Dominique Republic for medical Mission trips. I’m also a regular blood donor.
