Billy Spencer. MPH, CIC, CPHQ is currently the Corporate Director of Regulatory and Clinical Registry Reporting at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA. He began his career as an Epidemioligist for Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI and has worked as an Infection Preventionists for Baptist Health in San Antonio, TX and Sacred Heart on the Gulf in Port St. Joe, FL. Billy has spent almost 20 years in healthcare quality and is passionate about patient safety. During his career he has taught several courses on health care quality and analytics and led teams comprised of nurses and data analysts, scientists,and engineers. He is also a two time presenter at the national APIC conference. Billy earned his BS in Biomedical Science and MPH in Epidemiology from Texas A&M University.
