Cindy Self, MPH, RN, CIC, CEN is an Infection Preventionist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital. She has been a registered nurse for 13 years and with the Department of Infection Prevention for 6 years. She holds a BSN from the UAB School of Nursing and an MPH-Epi from the UAB School of Public Health. She has worked with a variety of service lines during her time as an infection preventionist and particularly enjoys working on policy, education, research, data, and new processes.
