Jackie Woodring is a Health Communication Specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She is currently the communications lead for the Health Systems Strengthening, Resilency, and Training Branch and is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of communication activities to support CDC's Project Firstline. A national education and training collaborative, Project Firstline provides innovative and accessible resources to increase infection control knowledge and understanding among the frontline healthcare workforce. Prior to her work with Project Firstline, Jackie supported various health communication campaigns supporting federally funded and state and local clients. Campaign work includes CDC’s Tips From Former Smokers, the first federally funded tobacco education campaign, as well as FDA’s Fresh Empire, a tobacco prevention campaign for multicultural youth. Jackie received her BS in Community Health and Human Services from Georgia College and State University in 2011.
