She has worked as an Infection Control Assistant for close to three years. Prior to working in the Infection Control department, she worked as a Pediatric Nurse at the bedside for over four years in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), then spent over seven years in Surgical Preparation/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) where she started at the bedside, then served as a Shift Coordinator (Charge Nurse), and for the majority of the time as a Nurse Lead (Clinical Supervisor). In addition to her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), she is also certified as a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN), and she maintains her certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALs). She is originally from Seattle, Washington but as a military spouse for over twenty-six years she had lived in multiple states before settling in the DC/Maryland area. She has four children who are now all young adults and is enjoying this phase of parenting. She loves working on DIY house projects, organizing anything and everything, and getting away RVing with her husband of thirty-two years and their two small dogs.
