My name is Taylor Keck, MPH, CIC, and I'm a Senior Infection Preventionist at UPMC Mercy Hospital. My infection prevention career began in 2020 - feet first into the COVID-19 pandemic! I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021 with my Master of Public Health (MPH) degree specializing in infectious disease and microbiology concentrating in pathogenesis, eradication, and laboratory practices. My infection prevention experiences are in the areas of inpatient rehabilitation, CAUTI/UTI prevention, dialysis, central sterile processing, endoscope culturing, and water management. I earned my Certification in Infection Control (CIC) in 2023.
