Infection Preventionist
Orlando Health, US
Tracy Larson, MSN, RN, CMSRN
Orlando Health
Tracy Larson started her career in nursing in 2006 with a focus on the medical-surgical patient population. She earned her Med/Surg nurse certification two years later and began mentoring new nurses as they entered the field. In 2017, she completed her master's in nursing education and went into academia to teach the next generation of nurses. Tracy spent the next four years, through the covid pandemic, teaching. However, she learned this was not where her passion lay, and in 2021 when a position opened up in infection prevention, she took the opportunity and never looked back. In 2023, Tracy decided it was time for another change and relocated her family from Wyoming to Florida, where she works as an infection preventionist for Orlando Health. In her free time she enjoys all the outdoor activities Florida has to offer.
