My name is Tamika Anderson (ASCP)cm, MPH, CIC. and I'm currently an Infection Preventionist at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit Michigan. I have been working in infection prevention and control for 6 years. My infection prevention experience includes womens and childrens and pediatrics as well as covering acute hospitals, ambulatory sites and surgery centers. As a member of the Great Lakes APIC Chapter, I attend meetings and conferences to enhance my knowledge, skills, and leadership abilitiles as an infection preventionist. I started my healthcare career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist for 12 years at Ascension St. John Hospital specializing in Immunology and Molecular Pathology. I obtained my Masters in Public Health in 2015 from Oakland University. I have been certified in infection prevention and control (CIC) since 2021.
