Teresa York, BS, CIC is the Regional Supervisor for Infection Control & Healthcare Epidemiology at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). She has 15+ years’ of experience as a subject matter expert in the delivery of infection prevention that aligns with organizational mission, vision, and strategic goals. She is experienced in managing quality and patient safety in healthcare settings. She plays an integral part in developing educational programs to meet the needs of all employees as required by regulatory agencies to keep them informed about current concepts and their specific responsibilities. Teresa has held board positions for the local APIC Chapter in Houston, TX. She is CIC recognized for excellence in operations, leadership, regulatory readiness, and staff development.
