Carri Beshears, MPH, BSN, RN, CIC, Infection Prevention Program Manager at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health’s St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, WA is known by her colleagues for her drive and determination to enhance healthcare though process improvement and a preoccupation with failure. As a graduate of the University of California – Berkeley’s leading Master of Public Health program, she has created a foundation for improvement of our healthcare system through a population health lens and a strong knowledge of change management, implementation science, and the use of data to influence an audience. With a desire to arm the next generation of nurses and providers with tools and confidence in their role in infection prevention, Carri is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Texas Woman’s University. She hopes to use this new platform as a way to help integrate infection prevention principles earlier in educational pathways to enhance our frontline healthcare teams from the start of their careers.
