Dorian Kerschner, BSN, RN, CCRN, CIC, Emory University Hospital. I joined Emory Healthcare in November of 2018 on the brand new Acute Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (ARICU). My nursing background consisted of medical/surgical services, orthopedics, and mental healthcare prior to focus in critical care. The ARICU eventually became the dedicated COVID-19 unit in the 2020 pandemic where I continued to work for another year before finding my way into infection control. I now have over three years of experience in infection prevention at Emory University Hospital. I have even discovered a passion for educating others on all that which makes up the world infection control as well.
